Pengaruh Sosial Ekonomi Masyarakat Terhadap Perilaku Pengolahan Sampah Di Kecamatan Tampan Kota Pekanbaru
This research was conducted in Tampan District, Pekanbaru City, Riau Province with 100 respondents. The Handsome District of Pekanbaru City is one of the Subdistricts that is formed based on PP.No.19 of 1987, concerning the change of boundaries between Pekanbaru City and Kampar Regency on May 14, 1988 with an area of ± 199,792 KM2. The Tampan District area is divided into nine villages. The survival and running of the government of Tampan District has a lot of potential to be developed and empowered in order to prosper the community, especially in the economic sector with the potential to: have the second largest population after Bukit Raya sub-district of eight other sub-districts, Tampan sub-district passed by the highway that connects the two provinces of Riau and West Sumatra which has a very positive influence on the economy of the people of Tampan. So that it has a significant influence on the welfare of the people of the District of Tampan. Waste management in Tampan sub-district, Pekanbaru has so far been oriented to solving garbage disposal and most people do not understand good waste management. Waste management by the community requires initiative and awareness from the community, the social and economic condition of the community is considered one of the determinants of community initiatives in waste management.
The approach used in this research is a quantitative approach. The method used in this study is an observational analytic method with a cross sectional design that is a design that will prove the causal relationship seen at the same time. Research by conducting direct observations (observational) of the object of research, in this case are residents of the District of Tampan and distributing questionnaires to respondents. The purpose of this study was to analyze the socioeconomic influence of the community (education level, income, knowledge) on waste management behavior.
Based on the results of the study, the socio-economic community (level of education, income, knowledge) simultaneously significantly influences the behavior of waste management with a significance value (0.00)
