Evaluasi Peran Komite Sekolah (Studi Kasus Di Sman 1 Bangko Pusako)
The school committee is a nonprofit and nonpolitical body or institution, established by democratic consultation by education stakeholders at the educational unit level as a representation of the various elements responsible for improving the quality of education processes and outcomes. School committees are established to accommodate and increase the participation of school stakeholders to help formulate, establish, implement and monitor the implementation of school policies and accountability that focus on the quality of service to learners proportionally and openly. This study aims to evaluate the role of committee of SMAN 1 Bangko Pusako in accordance with Kepmendiknas Number 044/U/2002 stating that school committee acts as an advisory agency, supporting agency, controlling angency, and mediator. This research is an evaluation research with qualitative descriptive approach, research instrument is self researcher and informant, data collection technique with documentation and interview. The results of this study indicate that the committee of SMAN 1 Bangko Pusako has not fully implemented its role and function in accordance with Kepmendiknas Number 044/U/2002. This is because school committees are inactive and effective, school committees are unaware of their roles and functions, even school committees do not have AD/ART and there is no good coordination and communication with the school.
