Analisis Pemasaran Kelapa Hibrida Di Kecamatan Pulau Burung Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir
ABSTRACT
The hybrid coconut commodity in Pulau Burung Subdistrict is the main supplier in PT Riau Sakti United Plantation through the PIR scheme. Farmers market the production of hybrid coconut through two marketing channels. Farmers cannot sell hybrid coconut production directly to companies because they do not have a Payment Order (SPUP). This study aims to analyze the marketing function, marketing costs, profits, margins, efficiency, and farmer's share, and analyze the marketing problems of hybrid coconuts. The research method was carried out using a survey method, the number of hybrid coconut farmers sampled was 40 samples using the Slovin formula. Sampling for marketing institutions is done by census method. The results showed that there were three marketing functions performed by the hybrid coconut marketing institution, namely the exchange, physical, and facility functions. In marketing channels I and II, farmers only spend on marketing and loading and unloading costs averaging Rp 20.00/item/year. The total marketing costs incurred by collecting traders in channel I and channel II are an average of Rp 33.02/item/year and Rp 37.16/item/year. Total marketing costs incurred by large traders averaged Rp 0.39/item/year. And the total marketing costs incurred by KUD in marketing channels I and II, which are on average Rp 3.09/item/year and Rp 7.13/item/year. Marketing margin on marketing channel I is greater than margin on channel II. For marketing efficiency of hybrid coconut, channel I is smaller than channel II. And the portion received by farmers in channel I is smaller than channel II. The problem faced by hybrid coconut farmers in Pulau Burung Sub-district is the low price of hybrid coconut production, besides the cooperative institutions in Pulau Burung Sub-district have not been functioning optimally.
