Hubungan Antara Adversity Quotient Dengan Kemandirian Belajar Matematika Pada Siswa Kelas IV Sekolah Dasar Negeri 37 Pekanbaru
Mathematics is one of the subjects that is feared by some students. Some negative things arise when the students are dealing with Mathematics in the form of a lack of independence in the learning. Independence in learning trains the students not to depend on others, but rather makes an effort to achieve what they want. Students who are able to try and struggle in the face of difficulties and direct all the potential they have to provide the best results means that the students have a high level of adversity quotient. Adversity Quotient is the ability of a person to struggle with and overcome the problem. Related to these problems, the writer conducted a study of fourth grade students in State Elementary School 37 Pekanbaru with the aim to determine the relationship between adversity quotient with the independence of students learning Mathematics. This type of research is quantitative with a correlational research method. The total population of the study was 176 students and the sample was 64 respondents. Data collection was carried out in the form of a questionnaire. Based on the results of data processing, it was found that the correlation coefficient of | 0.613 | with a number of 6.109 which shows a significant relationship between adversity quotient with mathematics learning independence of fourth grade students at State Elementary Schools 37 Pekanbaru who have a high strength of relationship (strong) and positive relationship characteristics. This study concludes that there is a relationship between adversity quotient and mathematics learning independence of fourth grade students at 37 Elementary Schools in Pekanbaru.
