Pengembangan Komik Sebagai Media Pembelajaran Berbasis Lingkungan Pada Mata Pelajaran IPS Di Kelas IV SDN 189 Pekanbaru
The purpose of this research is to design and develop comic media as an environment-based learning media in social studies subjects for grade IV elementary school and to test the validity of the developed comic media. This research was conducted at the FKIP Elementary School Teacher Education Campus of the University of Riau in October 2019 to January 2020. This type of research is a research development with an R&D approach using the ADDIE model with five stages, namely the analysis phase, design stage, development stage, stage implementation, and evaluation stage, but in this study only carried out until the Development stage. Comics are developed on environmental material in the context of social studies taken from teacher books and books of class IV students Theme 3 (Care for Living Beings) Subthema 3 (Let's Love the Environment) Learning 1 to 6. The instrument used to collect data is the comic validation sheet as a medium learning consisting of 30 statements filled out by 5 validators. The type of data used consists of qualitative data and quantitative data. Qualitative data in the form of comments and suggestions for improvement from expert validators obtained through the validation process. While quantitative data in the form of assessment scores provided by the validator of environmental based comic learning media.
The results of the validation of the development of comics can be seen from five aspects, namely aspects of simplicity, emphasis, balance, cohesiveness and comic design. Overall comic validation scores 90.46% with a very valid category. The developed comic media can be applied in classroom learning activities.
