Analisis Penggunaan Huruf Kapital Pada Bagian Ringkasan Skripsi Mahasiswa Pgsd Lulusan Tahun 2019

One of the problems in writing is errors in the use of spelling. This spelling is important because it is a rule that must be applied in writing. This study aims to determine the use of capital letters in the summary section of the thesis students of PGSD graduating in 2019. The research method is quantitative descriptive. Based on the results of the study, from13 of the rules of use of capital letters in Indonesian spelling guidelines call PUEBI (Pedoman Umum Ejaan Bahasa Indonesia) found 8 aspects plus one abbreviation rule relating to capital letters. The use of capital letters which get lowest with a percentage of 33%, namely the use of capital letters as the first letter of the direct passage, and capital letters are used as the first letter of every word (including perfect re-words) in the titles of books, essays, articles and papers and magazine and newspaper names, except for assignments such as in, to, from, which and and for not in the initial position. The use of capital letters which get highest category with a percentage of 100%, that is capital letters as the first letter of the element of the person's name, including the nickname, the use of the capital letter is used as the first letter of the name of the position and rank followed by the person's name or used as a substitute name the name of a particular person, the name of the institution, or the name of the place, the use of capital letters as the first letter of the name of the year, month, day, and holiday, and the use of capital letters as the first letter of the abbreviation for title, rank, and greeting. The result average of the use of capital letters overall is 70 with a good category.
