Pemanfaatan Limbah Ampas Tebu Sebagai Bahan Baku Dalam Perolehan Glukosa Dengan Menggunakan Enzim Selulase
Abstract
Sugarcane bagasse is one of the abundant, inexpensive agricultural wastes
available as lignocellulosic biomass. Cellulose is the most renewable resource
and has received much attention as a potential source of energy and carbon to
produce useful products such as glucose. This study aims to determine the effect
of variations in the ratio of bagasse: enzyme and temperature to the enzymatic
hydrolysis of cellulose from bagasse to produce glucose. Before the hydrolysis
process is carried out, chemical pretreatent is carried out through 0.5 M sulfuric
acid pretreatment to remove lignin. This research was conducted with an
enzymatic hydrolysis method using cellulase enzymes weighing 5 grams of
sugarcane bagasse, adding 100 mL of citrate buffer solution, adding 100 mL of
water, the variable changed was the ratio of sugarcane bagasse: enzyme (1: 0.07;
1: 0.09; 1: 0.11) and temperature conditions (35oC; 40oC; 45oC) with a pH of 5.5
for 60 hours. The best conditions obtained in the ratio of bagasse; substrate 1:
0.11 and temperature of 45oC at 60 hours, for enzymatic hydrolysis obtained the
best results with a yield of 35,211%.
