Aplikasi Pupuk Tricho-Kompos Tandan Kosong Kelapa Sawit Terhadap Pertumbuhan Semai Gaharu (Aquilaria Spp.)
Peat conditions are prone to damage due to excessive logging, fires and
land conversion. One of the efforts to restore the peat to its original state is by
carrying out revegetation activities, namely replanting trees capable of growing in
peat areas. Aqualaria spp. is known as a non-timber forest product with very high
economic value that can grow on peatlands. It is necessary to conserve the
cultivation of Aqualaria spp. by improving the quality of the planting medium
using tricho-compost for oil palm empty bunches. The purpose of this study was
to determine the effect of the application of Tricho-Compost TKKS fertilizer to
stimulate the growth of Aqualaria spp. seedlings and to determine the best
composition of Tricho-Compost TKKS fertilizer to stimulate the growth of
Aqualaria spp. seedlings. This study used 4 treatments and 5 replications, so that
20 experimental units were obtained. The application of Tricho-Compost TKKS
fertilizer in this study can be seen as follows: D1 = Without Tricho application of
oil palm empty bunches compost (Control), D2 = 20% Tricho compost TKKS +
80% peat soil, D3 = 50% Tricho compost TKKS + 50 % peat soil, D4 = 80%
Tricho compost TKKS + 20% peat soil. The data obtained from the research
results were analyzed by means of variance using SPSS 20.0. Application of
Tricho-Compost TKKS fertilizer was able to increase height growth and root
canopy ratio of Aquilaria spp. The application dose of 80% TKKS fertilizer
Tricho-Compost mixed with 20% peat soil (D4) shows the best treatment to
increase the growth of Aquilaria spp. with yield of 88% live percentages, height
increase of 1.26 cm, diameter increase of 0.84 mm, and plant dry weight 0.30 gr,
and top root ratio of 2.25.
