Persepsi Masyarakat Terhadap Pengelolaan Ekowisata Di Taman Wisata Alam Buluhcina

Indonesia has vast and scattered forests so it can develop the tourism sector.
Ecotourism is tourism that still maintains the integrity of nature, provides education
and is expected to be able to improve the economic sector of the surrounding
community. Buluhcina Nature Tourist Park is an example of the development of
ecotourism in Indonesia. Located in Siak Hulu District, Kampar Regency, Riau
Province with an area of 963.33 ha. Management consists of planning, implementing
and organizing, as well as supervision and results. Communities and other parties are
involved in ecotourism management, but their participation is influenced by
perception. Perception influences a person's behavior towards their object and
environment. It is necessary to conduct research to determine the perception of the
community and other parties towards the management of ecotourism in Buluhcina
Nature Tourist Park. This research uses quantitative and qualitative methods. Data is
done through interviews, observations, and literature study. Primary data were
analyzed using the chi-square test and the Spearman rank correlation test with
qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of the study revealed that the community
had a perception of agreeing about the good management of planning (56.8%),
managing implementation and organizing (54.6%), managing supervision and results
(48.3%). The related parties have the perception of strongly agreeing on the good
management of planning (43.7%), the perception of agreeing about the good
management of implementation and organizing (66.6%) and the management of
supervision and results (62.6%). Based on the chi-square analysis, occupational
factors and the level of education of the community and related parties have a real
relationship with perceptions of ecotourism management in Buluhcina Nature Tourist
Park. Spearman rank analysis results show that the strength of the relationship
between people's perceptions of ecotourism management in Buluhcina Nature
Tourist Park with occupational factors and education level is classified as moderate
and strong. All respondents agreed that Buluhcina Nature Tourist Park has benefits in
preserving forests and ecosystems and providing good education for visitors and
surrounding communities. However, there needs to be an increase in the field of
facilities and infrastructure in order to increase the attractiveness of visitors and is
expected to improve the economy of the surrounding community.
