The Forest Reserve of Kenegerian Rumbio is a forest area that is also
under threat of damage to its ecosystem. The existence of the trees in the forest is
threatened by the plantation activities carried out by the community around the
customary forest area. So that this does not continue, a tourist organization was
formed by the datuk who holds customary law in Rumbio. There is an ecotourism
path in the form of a footpath whose function is to support tourism in the
customary prohibited forest. Along this path, there are trees typical of lowland
forest areas. However, the types and characteristics of the trees along this tourist
route have not been identified. The purpose of this study is to determine the types
of trees along with the Forest Reserve of Kenegerian Rumbio Tourism Path and to
determine the characteristics of trees along the tourist route of the Forest Reserve
of Kenegerian Rumbio. The data collected in this study used the census method
using a pathway. With a track length of 1 km and a width of 20 meters. The
approach used was purposive sampling. Data analysis is divided into two types,
namely qualitative and quantitative. From research on the Forest Tourism Path of
the Forest Reserve of Kenegerian Rumbio, the value for species diversity index
was 3.697, the evenness index was 0.861, the dominance index was 0.9392, and
the relative abundance was 99.76%.
