Pengunaan Waktu Ekstraksi Berbeda Terhadap Aktivitas Antioksidan Berunok (Paracaudina Australis) Dengan Metode Frap (Ferric Reducing Antioxidant Power)
This study aimed to determine the effect of different extraction time on
the antioxidant activity of Sea Cucumbers (Paracaudina australis). The used
method was an experimental method with a completely randomized design (CRD)
consisting of 3 treatment levels namely T2 (extraction time for 48 hours), T3
(extraction time for 72 hours), and T4 (extraction time for 96 hours. This research
consisted of 2 stages, namely 1) preparation of raw materials of P. australis 2)
Extraction by maceration method of sea cucumber (P. australis) flour. The tested
parameters were yield, identification of secondary metabolites (phytochemicals)
and antioxidant activity of sea cucumber exstrac. The results showed that the
amount of sea cucumber Exstrac produced with different extraction times had
different amounts, namely T4 7.90%, T3 7.46% and T2 7.29%. The most optimal
maceration time to obtain Extrac was T4 (7.90%). The results showed that the
secondary metabolites on Sea Cucumber included steroids, saponins, alkaloids,
phenolics and flavonoids. The results showed that different extraction times had a
very significant effect on the antioxidant activity of sea cucumber (P. australis)
with IC50 values as follows T2 (1718.0645 mg / L), T3 (908.7356 mg / L) and T4
(614.0000 mg / L)> 500 pm (classified as very weak). The most optimal
maceration time in the antioxidant activity was T4 (614.0000 mg / L).
