Budaya Menyontek Dikalangan Mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Sosial Dan Ilmu Politik Universitas Riau (Studi Kasus “Upaya Mahasiswa Dalam Mencapai Target Nilai”)
College is a secondary educational environment for some people after the family environment. Where some people are always faced with a situation of success assessment from lecturers and friends, also succession in examinations and assignments. Many students want to get good score. So it is only focused on score, not on knowledge. In addition there is pressure from parents to get high score. These pressures will make students more focused on achieving only grades. So it is not uncommon for students to act dishonestly or cheat to achieve good score. The theory used in this study is the Parsons theory in which individual or human actions are directed towards a goal. As a student, cheating to achieve his goal is good score. This study aims to find out why students keep cheating, especially in the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Riau University. The approach in this study uses a qualitative. Research subjects were 7 (seven) students who were students from the class of 2019, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, religion, and so on. The results of this study stated that students who cheat are often influenced by factors and norms that exist in the campus environment. Other supporting conditions include groups of friends, lecturers and parents.
