Gambaran Kejadian Stunting Dan Wasting Pada Bayi Dan Balita
Stunting and wasting are nutritional problems that have some
impacts on children's growth and cognitive development, so the identification
needs to be done as a form of prevention and early diagnosis. This study aims to
describe the incidence of stunting and wasting in children in Kelurahan Rejosari
in the working area of the Rejosari Health Center. Methods: This study used
descriptive retrospective design with secondary data analysis approach. This study
used children aged 0-59 months who had weight and height records at posyandu
in Kelurahan Rejosari in February 2020 as samples by total sampling technique.
The instrument in this study was data of children’s weight and height and
anthropometric standard table for assessing children's nutritional status by the
Ministry of Health. This study used univariate analysis. Result: The results of this
study showed that most of respondents were toddler (45.2%) and more than half
of the respondents were girl (50.6%). The majority of children have normal
nutritional status according to the height for age and weight for height indices.
This study found the incidence of stunting is 17.8% and the incidence of wasting
is 12.2%. Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that although the majority
of children have normal nutritional status, stunting and wasting are still found.
This study recommends to the community, especially families who have children
under five years to keep monitoring the growth of children regularly.
