Analisis Semiotika Dalam Lirik Lagu Tarian Penghancur Raya Sebagai Sarana Kritik Kerusakan Lingkungan

Environmental damage in Indonesia can be said to be increasingly concerning. This phenomenon of environmental damage then becomes an inspiration in delivering criticism through songs. Song as a means of mass communication is considered capable of recording the reality that occurs in carrying out criticism. This research focuses on the song Tarian Penghancur Raya by the band .Feast, which in the lyrics of the song reveals a lot of the reality of environmental damage that occurs in nature. The purpose of this research are to determine how the signifier and signified in each lyrics of the song Tarian Penghancur Raya and to find out the criticism of environmental damage contained in the lyrics of Tarian Penghancur Raya.
This research uses a qualitative approach with a critical paradigm and uses the semiotic model of Ferdinand De Saussure which consists of a signifier and signified which then produces an external reality to analyze the meaning in the song lyrics of the Destroyer Dance song as a means of criticizing environmental damage. The informants in this research where 2 people, with the determination of the informants using key informant technique. The object of this research is the lyric verses in the form of the text in the song Tarian Penghancur Raya which consists of 9 stanzas. The data collection techniques used were literature study, observation, documentation and interviews.
The results of this research are: (1) Criticism of environmental damage in the song lyrics of Tarian Penghancur Raya which is displayed by the signifier aspect based on what is directly displayed in the song lyrics in the form of text that is captured by our five senses. (2) The signified aspect in the song lyrics of Tarian Penghancur Raya based on a mental picture or concept from the text, through the results of analysis of the implied meaning and hidden meaning that is stored behind what is conveyed through the lyrics of the song. The metaphor used in the lyrics of this song describes a number of human sins against the environment, which finally now reciprocated by nature of what has been done by selfish and greedy humans in exploiting nature. (3) The song of Tarian Penghancur Raya departs from issues and realities that occur in society, which are a few of lyrics describe a few of criticisms of damage and disaster events that have occurred in society.
