Biopelet Dari Limbah Cangkang Kemiri (Aleurites Moluccana) Dengan Campuran Biomassa Limbah Batang Sagu (Metroxylon Sagu) Dan Serbuk Gergaji Sebagai Sumber Energi Alternatif
ABSTRACT
Utilization of biomass for biopelet is one of the alternative renewable energy solutions. So it is necessary to conduct research on the manufacture of biopelet from nut shell waste (Aleurites moluccana) with a mixture of biomass waste from sago stalks (Metroxylon sago) and sawdust as an alternative energy source. This study aims to determine the quality of the biopelet and determine the best raw material composition for the manufacture of biopelet from candlenut shell waste with a mixture of stem waste biomass and sawdust. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) method with four treatments and five replications. The raw material is dried for 3 days, then mashed using a stone mortar and filtered using a 50 mesh sieve, the raw material is mixed with adhesive and printed using a printing tool and finally testing the parameters on the biopelet. The results showed that on testing the water content, calorific value, and volatile content of the biopelet were able to meet the SNI 8021: 2014 standard. However, in the density and ash content test, the biopelet was not able to meet the SNI 8021: 2014 standard. The best composition in making this biopelet is the P2 treatment composition with the addition of 10% of the total weight of biomass with a moisture content of 9.96 %, a density of 0.31 g / cm3, a calorific value of 4,182 cal / g, an ash content of 11.30 %, and the volatile substance content was 73.69 %.
