ABSTRACT
Bird wildlife has an important role in nature, namely to maintain the balance of
ecosystems and also as an indicator of environmental change. The purpose of this
research is to determine the diversity of bird species on various types of land
coverage in Buluh Cina Natural Tourism Park Siak Hulu District Kampar
Regency. Data collection on species and number of birds was carried out with a
combinations method between point counts methods and transect methods on
several types of land coverage, including natural forest land coverage, scrubland,
and palm oil plantation. Observations showed that there were 45 species of birds
from 26 families with a total of 296 individuals, with details of 24 species found
only in natural forests, 5 species found only in scrubland, 3 species found only in
palm oil plantation, as well as 13 others species can be found on two or all three
types of land coverage that exist.
