ABSTRACT
Macaca fascicularis is one of the forest-dwelling animals that has an important
meaning in life in nature. The existence of Macaca fascicularis is not only part of
biodiversity, but is important in the regeneration of tropical forests. The purpose
of this study was to determine the habitat characteristics of Macaca fascicularis
around the Bukit Rimbang Bukit Baling Wildlife Reserve, Singingi Hilir District,
Kuantan Singingi District. The research method used is simple random sampling
method. The results showed that the habitat characteristics of Macaca fascicularis
around the Bukit Rimbang Bukit Baling Wildlife Reserve area were an average
temperature of 26.7°C, an average humidity of 89% and canopy cover 78%, light
intensity 4.6 cd and a slope of 3%. The highest INP at the tree level is mahang
with a value of 29,62%.
