Komunikasi Pimpinan Dalam Meningkatkan Kinerja Karyawan Bagian Produksi Di Pt. Salim Ivomas Pratama Perkebunan Balam Kabupaten Rokan Hilir
The success of leadership communication with employee performance
can be seen from the good relationship between leaders and employees. Effective
communication makes the steps of each member of the work team more focused in
carrying out their respective responsibilities to achieve the goals set by the
company. The purpose of this study was to determine the vertical, horizontal, and
diagonal communication carried out by the leadership in improving the
performance of production employees at PT. Salim Ivomas Pratama Balam
Plantation, Rokan Hilir Regency.
This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods with the
concept of communication elements in organizations according to de Vito, K.
Sereno, and Erika Vora. The subjects in this study amounted to 6 people with
accidental techniques. This study uses data collection techniques consisting of
observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses the
Miles and Hubarman Interactive Model. The validity of the data in this study used
the extension of participation and triangulation.
The results showed that there are two vertical communication, namely
communication from superiors to subordinates and from subordinates to
superiors. The sources are assistants and employees of division I. Messages are
conveyed verbally and non-verbally. The communicants are employees of division
I. The media used are electronic media and written media. The effects are
cognitive effects and affective effects. The feedback is direct work on orders from
assistants, input, and trust between assistants and employees. The environment
that affects the course of communication includes the physical environment, the
social and cultural environment and the psychological environment. In horizontal
communication, there are sources, namely harvest employees, apart from being
communicators as well as communicants. Messages conveyed verbally. The effect
is an affective effect. Feedback is the relationship becomes more intimate. The
environment that affects the course of communication includes the socio-cultural
environment, as well as the time dimension. Diagonal communication does not
often occur due to differences in functions and tasks, as well as work placements.
The source is the harvest foreman. The message is conveyed verbally. The media
used include electronic media and written media. The effect is a cognitive effect.
The environment that affects communication activities is the physical environment
and the socio-cultural environment.
