Infrastructure development is the most important part in regional
development and development efforts, especially in rural areas. The availability of
adequate infrastructure can increase the development of socio-economic
activities, so that it will further encourage the welfare of the community.
Furthermore, with good socio-economic conditions, the community will be more
capable of being involved in providing infrastructure in their environment. As a
result of the low access of citizens to communication forums organized by the
government, it can simultaneously affect the implementation of counseling carried
out by the Sanglar village government. The purpose of this study is to analyze the
village government's communication strategy in environmental development in
Sanglar village, Indragiri Hilir district, analyze community participation in
environmental development in Sanglar village, Indragiri Hilir district, evaluate
government communication in generating community participation in
environmental development in Sanglar village, Indragiri Hilir district.
In this research, the writer uses descriptive method. The data collection
techniques used are through observation, interviews and documentation. The
subjects in this study were 7 (seven) people consisting of village officials, head of
LPM, and community leaders. In determining the informants using purposive
sampling technique. Data analysis techniques are data collection, data reduction
and data presentation.
The results showed that the ability of the village government to provide
services including knowledge, skills, order and order, timeliness and speed and
behavior was very good. In the implementation of development in Sanglar village,
applying the principles of sustainable development and carried out in an
integrated manner while still paying attention to the welfare of the community.
The village government is able to develop a strategic communication plan that
contains policies, targets, programs and activities that will be carried out directly
by the village government. Conducting MUSREMBANG by inviting Community
Leaders, Religious Leaders, Educational Leaders, community social organization
leaders, non-governmental organizations figures, political organization leaders,
professional organization leaders, women empowerment leaders and government
elements in conveying the aspirations of future development programs. Encourage
the community to participate in the implementation of the planned development.
The leadership of the village government is able to move the community to
participate in the implementation of development that will be carried out.
