Strategi Komunikasi Lingkungan Badan Usaha Milik Desa Dalam Mengelola Ekowisata Mangrove Toapaya Selatan Kabupaten Bintan Provinsi Kepulauan Riau
This research background is that Ecotourism which is a sector that has
the potential as one of the supporters of the national economy. Ecotourism
activities basically directly provide access for everyone to see, know, and enjoy
the natural, intellectual and cultural experiences of local communities. The
purpose of this study was to determine the environmental communication strategy
of Village-Owned Enterprises in managing South Toapaya Mangrove Ecotourism,
Bintan Regency, Riau Islands Province.
This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method approach. The
object of research in this study is a Village-Owned Enterprise in Managing
Mangrove Ecotourism Toapaya Selatan, Bintan Regency, Riau Islands Province.
As for the research subjects in this study, there were as many as six people who
were directly involved in the management of the South Toapaya Mangrove
ecotourism, namely the Head of South Toapaya Village, Head of South Toapaya
Village, Head of the South Toapaya Village-Owned Enterprise, Business Unit
Ecotourism Activator, Chair of the Environmental Care Community and the local
community who worked with the community. Data collection techniques in this
study were carried out through interviews, observation and documentation. The
data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive, with several stages,
namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing and testing the
validity of the researcher's data using participation extension and triangulation.
The results of this study indicate that the Environmental Communication
Strategy that has been carried out by BUMDes is through several stages. First,
the planning stage begins with an assessment/assessment which includes situation
analysis and identification of social, economic, environmental problems, analysis
of parties/actors involved, objective communication (to increase knowledge,
influence/behavior). Then, planning which includes developing a communication
strategy, motivating and mobilizing the community and selecting media. Second,
this implementation stage begins with the production stage which includes the
design of the message to be delivered, Media production accompanied by a
pretest. The next stage of implementation which includes dissemination through
the media and its implementation, documentation and evaluation.
