Pengaruh Media Sosial Instagram Akun @Mew_Pawmily Terhadap Pemenuhan Kebutuhan Informasi Followers Mengenai Kucing

Nowadays online media or more commonly referred to as social media is one of the mass
media that is often used as a place to find information and even exchange information. Instagram
social media is one of the media chosen to determine information about pets. Currently, there are
many accounts on instagram social media that are made specifically for the benefit of pet
information such as cats, one of which is @mew_pawmily. The existence of an instagram
account @mew_pawmily makes it easy for followers to get information about cats needed by cat
lovers and cat owners. This study uses the theory of use and satisfaction with the aim of research
to analyze the influence of social media instagram @mew_pawmily on meeting the needs of
followers regarding cat information.
The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative with random sampling
techniques and a sample size of 400 respondents. Data collection techniques in this study using a
questionnaire via the google from link. To find out how much influence the two variables are, the
authors use simple linear regression analysis. Furthermore, data testing was carried out with the
spss for windows version 21 program.
Based on the results of simple linear regression, the regression coefficient in this study
was y = 3.901 + 0.823x with a significance level of 0.000. The significance level is smaller than
α = 0.05, which means that ho is rejected and ha is accepted, with the statement that there is an
influence on social media instagram @mew_pawmily on fulfilling followers' needs regarding cat
information. The coefficient of determination (r2) in this study is 52.6%, which means that this
number shows that the influence of social media instagram @mew_pawmily on meeting the
needs of followers to feed cat information is in the moderate category. While the remaining
47.4% is influenced by other variables not included in this study.
