Pengaruh Kekerasan Verbal Orang Tua Terhadap Perilaku Agresif Remaja Di Desa Geringging Baru Kecamatan Sentajo Raya

Verbal abuse is a verbal action or negative behavior that without realizing it has
a tremendous impact on children's behavior in the long term. Verbal violence can
occur when children ask for attention, cry and do not want to be silent, children
who continue to talk so that parents will verbally abuse children. Forms of verbal
violence are intimidation, namely actions in the form of shouting, screaming,
threatening children, and bullying children. Aggressive behavior is behavior that
aims to injure or hurt someone or something, both verbally and nonverbally,
which causes hostility. Adolescence is a period of transition between the life of
children and the life of adults which is characterized by biological and
psychological growth and development. This study uses social learning theory
with the aim of research to see how much influence parental verbal violence has
on adolescent aggressive behavior in Geringging Baru village, Sentajo Raya subdistrict.
The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative with census technique
and the number of samples is 160 respondents. Data collection techniques in this
study using a questionnaire. To find out how much influence the two variables
have, the author uses simple linear regression analysis and the coefficient of
determination (r2). Furthermore, data testing was carried out with the SPSS for
Windows version 26 program.
The results showed that the influence of parental verbal violence on adolescent
aggressive behavior in Geringging Baru Village, Sentajo Raya Sub-district, was
42.6%, which was classified as a medium level of influence. While the remaining
57.4% is influenced by other variables that are not included in this study. Based
on the results of simple linear regression, the regression coefficient value in this
study was y = 19. 826 + 0.13x with a significance level of 0.025.
