Strategi Komunikasi Dinas Pariwisata Provinsi Riau Dalam Mengimplementasikan Chse Di Kota Pekanbaru
environment sustainability (CHSE) by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative
Economy for tourism to rise during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Riau Province
Tourism Office was asked to inform this policy to tourism actors in Riau. The
purpose of this study is to analyze how the Riau Province Tourism Office
implements a communication strategy in implementing CHSE in Pekanbaru City.
This research is a qualitative research with data collection methods by
means of interviews, observation and documentation. Informants were selected by
purposive sampling method where the informants represent the identification of the
problem to be studied. The informants consisted of officials within the Riau
Province Tourism Office and tourism business actors in Pekanbaru City.
The research findings indicate that the Provincial Tourism Office has
implemented a communication strategy so that tourism industry players and tourist
destinations are enthusiastic about participating in CHSE certification through the
guidelines at https://chse.kemenparekraf.go.id. The strategic steps of the Riau
Province Tourism Office, (1) choosing direct communicators from internal parties
from the Riau Tourism Office, and indirect communicators, namely influencers, (2),
primary audiences are tourism-based business actors such as hotels, restaurants
and tourist destinations and secondary audiences namely the general public or
tourists who are encouraged to return to being interested in tourism activities (3),
the message conveyed is based on persuasive arguments to encourage business
actors to be interested in implementing CHSE. One of them is by explaining that
the management of CHSE certification is free and the benefits of this CHSE are to
increase tourist trust, (4), the media used is personal media, namely through social
media Instagram @pariwisata.riau and Facebook Riau Tourism and YouTube Riau
Tourism to introduce how to travel. safe with the existence of CHSE during the
Covid-19 pandemic and non-personal media with direct technical guidance or
visits to business actors.
