Manajemen Pemerintah Kota Pekanbaru Dalam Merespon Pandemi Covid-19 Di Kota Pekanbaru Tahun 2020

This research departs from the covid-19 pandemic that is endemic
throughout the world until it enters the city of Pekanbaru which resulted in many
residents being infected with this virus and causing death, the Pekanbaru city
government tried to respond to this by implementing PSBB, providing social
assistance to working from home (work from home).
The purpose of this study was to determine the management of the
Pekanbaru city government in responding to the covid-19 pandemic, as well as to
analyze the factors that influence the management of the Pekanbaru city
government in responding to covid-19. This study uses a qualitative descriptive
research method approach. Primary data were obtained directly through
interviews with informants, namely the Public Relations team of the Pekanbaru
city government, the Health Service and BPBD (Regional Disaster Management
Agency).
The results of this study indicate that the management of the Pekanbaru
city government has not been maximized in responding to covid-19, this can be
seen from the implementation (actuating) that is not optimal so that there are still
many PSBB violators, the distribution of social assistance that is not evenly
distributed, to WFH which is considered ineffective. because many workers end
up being laid off.
