Pengukuran Bullwhip Effect Dalam Supply Chain Management Pada Pt. Charoen Pokphand Jaya Farm Pekanbaru
The Bullwhip effect is the tendency for fluctuations in the size of larger orders to be forwarded to the supply chain from retailers. The bullwhip effect can occur when the order decreases and when the order increases. This study aims to determine the magnitude of the bullwhip effect that occurs as a result of fluctuations in orders and sales of Day Old Chicken (DOC) at PT. Charoen Pokphand Jaya Farm Pekanbaru (PT CPJF) and find out the causes of the bullwhip effect and solutions to reduce the bullwhip effect. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative research. With the technique of collecting data through field observations, interviews and literature studies. The data analysis techniques are descriptive analysis and measurement of the bullwhip effect with the size of the bullwhip effect as a comparison between the variance coefficients of orders created with the coefficient of variance from sales or requests received by the echelon concerned. The results of this study are that the bullwhip effect phenomenon occurs in PT CPJF from 2014-2018 seen from BE results ≥ 1. The bullwhip effect phenomenon occurs due to a batching and price fluctuation order at PT CPJF and a solution to reduce the bullwhip effect by establishing good cooperation between PT CPJF and its customers and implementing an information sharing system between PT CPJF and its customers and adopting an information technology system to facilitate the exchange of data and information between parties in the supply chain.
