Prototype Pembangkit Listrik Menggunakan Energi Getaran Pada Suspensi Sepeda Motor Berbasis Piezoelectric

ABSTRACT
The human need for energy is increasing every time. However, the
availability of energy is currently running low, especially energy sourced from
fossil fuels. Renewable energy is the main topic of this research, where renewable
energy is one of the breakthroughs to deal with the energy crisis. Vibration is one
of the renewable energies that can be utilized, including vibrations that occur in
motorcycle suspensions. The country of Indonesia has very varied road conditions
ranging from asphalt roads, rocky roads, dirt roads and so on with varying
amplitudes. These conditions are very good as a producer of vibration energy in
motorcycle suspensions, so that vibration energy has high potential to be
developed. In this study, the vibrations generated by the suspension of the
motorcycle are converted into electrical energy and used to charge the cellphones
of online motorcycle taxi drivers, by utilizing a component called Piezoelectric.
This research was also conducted on the high mobility of online motorcycle taxis,
so that running out of cellphone power is a problem that must be avoided. In this
study, data in the form of voltage, current and electric power were loaded with a
PC-ocilloscope device connected to a laptop. The maximum voltage that can be
generated in this study is 45.1 V. Where the higher the amplitude of the road, the
higher the voltage that can be generated.
