Uji Biofungisida Tablet Berbahan Aktif Trichoderma Virens Endofit Untuk Mengendalikan Phytophthora Palmivora Pada Bibit Kakao
ABSTRACT
This study aimed to determine the effect of the dose of biofungicide tablets with the
active ingredient Trichoderma virens endophytic and to obtain the best dose in
controlling Phytophthora palmivora on cocoa seedlings. This research was carried
out at the UPT Experimental Garden, Faculty of Agriculture, Laboratory of Plant
Diseases, Faculty of Agriculture, and the Biofertilizer and Biopesticide Industrial
Business Unit (BICCOM) Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau. This study
was conducted from January to March 2020. This study was conducted
experimentally using a completely randomized design consisting of 5 treatments
and 4 replications. Each replication consisted of 5 cacao seedlings with 3 plants as
samples and 2 plants as inserts in 4 kg soil/polybag media. The treatment was a
dose of biofungicide tablets from the Trichoderma virens endophytes 0 g (B0), 5 g
(B1), 10 g (B2), 15 g (B3), and 20 g (B4). Data were analyzed by analysis of
variance and continued with Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at 5%
level to compare the mean of each treatment. The results showed that the use of
tablet biofungicide with the active ingredient Trichoderma virens endophyte had a
significant effect on controlling P. palmivora and increasing the growth of cocoa
seedlings. The application of biofungicide tablets with the active ingredient
Trichoderma virens endophytes at a dose of 15 g (B3) and 20 g (B4) had a better
ability to inhibit the emergence of early symptoms of the disease (12.25 days and
13.75 days), the intensity of the disease (15.86 days). % and 13.97 %), and the rate
of disease development (0.004 units/day and 0.0035 units/day) as well as increasing
the growth of stem height (46.85 cm and 47.04 cm), stem diameter (0.80 cm and
0.78 cm), wet weight (7.72 g and 8.16 g) and dry weight of seedlings (4.05 g and
4.38 g) compared to other biofungicide doses.
