ABSTRACT
Stand alone phovoltaic is a power plant that is built to meet the electricity needs
of an area, building or other building that is not connected to other generators.
To design a PV, several parameters are needed such as the total amount of
installed load energy, daily radiation and PSH. Stand alone PV has several
components including panels, solar charge controller, battery, inverter. The panel
functions as a medium that converts solar radiation into electrical energy. Solar
charge controller functions as a controller for charging the battery so that the
battery does not over charge and over charge. The battery functions as an energy
store that will be used at night and in bad weather. Inverter serves as a means of
conversion from DC voltage to AC voltage. In this study, the total energy load
that follows the load curve of Pekanbaru is 159,900 Wh and the total peak sun
hour is 4.05. While the number of panels required is 160 panels consisting of 10
series and 16 parallel. For the value of the SOC is 300 V, 160.43 A while the
installed battery is 640,727.1 Wh with a perbattery specification of 150 Ah, 12 V
and the total required battery is 350 units with 14 parallel and 25 series. While
the specifications of the inverter is 15000 Watt with a voltage of 380 V.
