Seleksi Jamur Endofit Tanaman Nipah (Nypa Fruticans Wurmb.) Dan Uji Antagonisme Terhadap Ganoderma Boninense Pat. Penyebab Penyakit Busuk Pangkal Batang Kelapa Sawit Serta Identifikasinya
ABSTRACT
This study aims to selection and observe the antagonicity of endophytic fungi from nipah plants and to obtain the highest antagonicity of endophytic fungi which are potential as biological agents against G. boninense the cause of stem rot disease of oil palm plants. The study was conducted at the Laboratory Plant Protection, Faculty of Agriculture, Riau University. This study used explorative methods (isolation and purification of endophytic fungi from sugar palm plants), experiments (antagonism, diameter and growth rate of higher antagonistic endophytic fungi) and observation (hypovirulence, hyperparasitism and identification of higher antagonistic endophytic fungi). Data of macroscopic characteristics, hypovirulence, hyperparasitism and identification of higher antagonistic endophytic fungi were presented descriptively. Data of antagonism, diameter and growth rate of higher antagonistic endophytic fungi were analyzed using analysis of variance and to compare the means between the treatments were analyze with DNMRT at 5% level. The results found 20 isolates, 14 isolates were hypovirulent and 6 isolates were virulent. N17 isolate had the highest antagonicity (71,33%). The results showed that isolates N7 and N14 belongs to the genus Aspergillus, N5 isolates belongs to the genus Gliocladium, N8 and N16 isolates belongs to the genus Cephalosporium and one other isolates have not been identified.
