ANALISIS PENGARUH SUHU TERHADAP HASIL PEMURNIAN OLI BEKAS SEPEDA MOTOR DENGAN METODE DESTILASI MENJADI BAHAN BAKAR SOLAR
One of the current technological developments that is very rapid in society is
motorcycles. The increase in the number of motorcycle transportation causes the
use of lubricating oil to increase, because in general, every certain distance or
range of 3,000 to 5,000 kilometers of lubricating oil must be immediately replaced
with a new oil of 1 liter. Each replacement will certainly produce waste, namely
used oil, used oil, including B3 waste which if not handled properly can harm the
environment. One of the methods in handling used oil processing is to recycle or
re-purify the base oil content so that it produces fuel. In this study, a distillation
method with temperature variations of 250oC, 300oC, 350oC, and 400oC was used
using a heating time of 83 minutes. Fuel from used oil purification will be tested for
its characteristics on density, kinematic viscosity, moisture content, calorific value
and cetane number. The results showed that the fuel from the purification of used
oil with the best temperature variation at the density test value at 350
oC was 810.9
kg/m3, the kinematic viscosity test value at 400oC was 2.35 mm2
/s, the heat test
value at 400oC was 11.2 cal/gr, the moisture content test value at 400oC was 33.32
mg/kg, and the value of the cetane number at 250oC is >62.5. The results of this
test show that the best temperature that shows the quality of diesel fuel is 400oC as
evidenced by the comparison of standards and quality of diesel oil guided by the
Decree of the Director General of Oil and Gas 146K/10/DJ/2020 concerning
Standards and Quality (Specifications) of Diesel Fuel Oil Marketed Domestically.
