This research was conducted on January 2011. This research was
purposed: 1) to understand the survival life strategy of fishermen at
Kepenghuluan raja Bejamu Sinaboi District Rokan Hilir regency of Riau
Province. 2) to understand the reason fishermen the effort way able to survive
worker as a fishermen at Kepenghuluan Raja Bejamu Sinaboi District Rokan Hilir
regency of Riau Province. The population is as much as 17 people working
fishermen. So the sample collection method uses survey methods.
Survival strategies by fishermen laborer 1) social strategies such as doing
client-patron relationship and conduct social gathering. 2) economic strategy,
among others, the use of household members to work, diversification of work and
make sales of household appliances or furniture.
