Studi Etnofitomedika: Sistem Pengobatan Tradisional Di Kecamatan Pangean Dan Kecamatan Logas Tanah Darat Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi
Medicinal plants are important elements in the indegenous medical system in Kuantan Singingi Region. These resources are usually regarded as part of a culture of tradisional knowledge. This study examined the use of medicinal plants in two districts of Kuantan Singingi, with two study sites, Pangean and Logas Tanah Darat Districts. Ethnophytomedical surveys had been carried out to collected information from traditional healers from July 2012 to February 2013. The data was collected using quitionaires and personal interviews to 5 informants who provided consistent information about the used of medicinal plants. The result of this study showed that the tradisional healers in Pangean and Logas Tanah Darat districts used 208 species of medicinal plants from 73 families. The highest number of species were used for general diseases, and the lowest spesies were used for skin problems. The most used plants are trees and herbs followed by shurbs, climbers and others. The fidelity levels showed that Casia alata, Curcuma domestica, Mussaenda sp. and Rhinacantus narutus were commonly used by all of tradisional healers for diseased healing.
