Persepsi Remaja Terhadap Kekerasan Dalam Tayangan Opera Van Java (Ovj) : Studi Kasus Di Kelurahan Tangkerang Utara Kecamatan Bukit Raya Kota Pekanbaru
Television is one of the electronic media that has a great influence in people's lives today, one of them is Opera Van Java, a comedy television program, which contained scenes of violence that may affect to the teenagers. The purpose of this study is to find out what forms of violence that often occurs in Opera Van Java (OVJ) Show and find out how teenagers perception of violence in Opera Van Java (OVJ) Show at North Tangkerang District of Bukit Raya Pekanbaru.
This study used a qualitative descriptive approach, namely measurement of certain social phenomenon descriptively. In this study, researchers used the informant through key person. The data were analyzed qualitatively is the response of teenagers about violence that occurred in Opera Van Java (OVJ) Show at Trans7 Station.
According to the study result the form of violence that found in the OVJ Show are verbal abuse and physical violence. Verbal abuse is contained in episode of Bukan Mamaku Keles, Take Me Out, Nasib Cintaku ditangan Juragan Kontrakan, Suamiku Tukang Ojek dan Kesel Home Shopping. Physical violence like piercing, hitting, pushing and punch can be found on episode Nasib Cintaku ditangan Juragan Kontrakan, Gundala Cuci Nama, Legenda Banyuwangi, Kesel Home Shopping, Petruk Mencari Jodoh, Penyamaran Alehandro, dan Naik Becak Siapa Takut. OVJ show can shape the cultures of violence. This means that the television is able to break through into the souls of teenagers in applying what they get from television in everyday life. The violence in OVJ Show can influences the behavior of teenagers. They can be affected in a positive direction or a negative direction depending on the teenagers individually. OVJ Show on Trans 7 affects teenager because of the ability to create the perception that has a charge in tv show to becomes more real so they want to try what they see on the television to be referred to as the jocks in their environment.
