Sintesis Dan Uji Toksisitas Senyawa Kalkon Analog 2,5 Dimetoksibenzaldehid

Chalcones are known to exhibit various biological activities such as antioxidant, antifungal, antibacterial, anticancer, anti-inflammatory and many more activities. Three compounds chalcone analogue of 2,5-dimetoxibenzaldehyde (EL1, EL2 and EL3) was synthesized and tested for their totoxicity using Brine Shrimp Lethality Test (BSLT) method. The purity of all compounds has been tested using TLC, melting point test, and analytical HPLC. They were then characterized using UV, IR, 1H-NMR and MS spectroscopy. The pure compound can be said toxic if the value LC50 of compound lower than 200 μg/mL, so the result showed that EL1 and EL2 compounds was potential as an anticancer since its LC50 was 1,906 and 4,416 μg/mL.
