This thesis aims to perform maintenance and repair of mechanical system on lathe G.D.W LZ350 in the laboratory production technology university engineering faculty riau which has demaged. Maintenance and repair of mechanical system on the lathe is necessary to optimize the performance of the lathe in order to operate normally. The maintenance and repair of mechanical system on the lathe, begins to identification the all problems and than repairing of the lathe, the problem has found are electrical circuit damage, mechanical part such the tool post carriage movement less smoothly, and the shut down of coolant pump. The maintaining and repairing of mechanical system on the lathe is overhold of all components lathe G.D.W LZ350. The overhold of components are the headstock, tailstock, cross slide , and bed. The result of maintenance and repair of mechanical system that have been done the lathe machine G.D.W LZ350 operate normally. The sleps of maintenance and repair of mechanical system above can be implemented property, and to avoid damage operation it should perform the periodic maintenance regulary.
The selection of replacement damage parts is base on spesification before while there are so exactly the some as it is reolaced with the component to approach the oroginal specification.
