This research was conducted in Indragiri Hulu District of Batang Peranap precisely in Sungai Aur. The sample in this research is the oil palm growers PIR participants KUD members. This reasearch aims to determine the role of KUD to improving the welfare of oil palm growers PIR participants KUD Members. The population in this research are oil palm growers PIR participants KUD members who run the oil palm plantation business. To facilitate sampling data collection techniques used random sampling with a possible 10% error in getting the total sample of 71 peoples. Data was collected directly by visiting and spreading questionnaires to oil palm growers PIR participants KUD members in the village of Sungai Aur and conducted a short interview and data types used are primary and secondary data. This research analyzed qualitatively and using a calculation formula π = TR - TC unknown oil palm growers' income PIR participants KUD members in Sungai Aur highest was Rp. 112 416 000 and the lowest is Rp. 73.064.000. The result of this research is known that cooperatives play an important role in improving the welfare of oil palm growers PIR Participants KUD members, even farmers are very dependent on KUD in running their business.
