Jenis Dan Kelimpahan Perifiton Pada Substrat Plastik Di Sungai Kampar Kanan Kelurahan Air Tiris Kecamatan Kampar Kabupaten Kampar Provinsi Riau

Kampar Kanan River has strong current and it may affect the types and abundance of periphyton present. To understand the type and abundance of those organisms, a study has been conducted in February to March 2017. Parameters measured were the types and abundance of theperiphyton that attached in the plastic substrate, temperature, transparancy, current speed, depth, pH, DO, free CO2, nitrate and phosphate.There were 3 stations namely station 1 (no anthropogenic activity), station 2 (fish cage area) and station 3 (rubber factory area). Samplings were conducted once/week for 3 weeks period.Results shown that there were 50types of periphyton present, namely Bacillariophyceae (23 species), Chlorophyceae (20 species),Cyanophyceae (6 species), and Euglenophyceae (1 species). The average ofperiphyton abundance was 8,016 to 10,188cells/ cm2.
