Pengaruh Paparan Model Asap Kebakaran Hutan Terhadap Diameter Tubulus Seminiferus Dan Spermatogenesis Pada Mencit Putih
Forest fires were one of the caused of rapid forest destruction that could negatively affect the ecosystems of the world. Adverse effects of forest fire smoke had an impact on health. Forest fire smoke contained particles and gases that could contaminate the air, including carbon monoxide (CO), sulfur dioxide (SO2), particulate matter (PM), and Benzo-a pyrene which could cause interruption of the seminiferous tubules. The purpose of this study was to determine the changes of seminiferous tubules diameter and spermatogenesis in white mice exposed to smoke for 7 days. This study used 20 white male mice aged 2-3 months and divided into 4 groups. The control group (K) was not given the exposure. The group P1, P2 and P3 were exposed to smoke with a duration of each 10, 15, 20 minutes/day for 7 days. The changes assessed in this study were reduced of seminiferous tubules diameter and decreased spermatogenesis score. The results seminiferous tubules diameter size reduction were obtained at K: 70.7 μm, P1: 68.4 μm, P2: 61.6 μm and P3: 55.1, whereas the result of decreased spermatogenesis score was K: 9.2; P1: 7,4; P3: 6,1; P4: 4,4. The conclusion was, there were influence of smoke model of forest fire on seminiferous tubules diameter and spermatogenesis to white mice.
