ABSTRACT
The quality of cooking oil is determined by various test parameters. This research was carried out by mixing activated carbon and bentonite as adsorbent with several comparison. Adsorption was done using batch method. Test parameters were performed on cooking oil before and after adsorption. The results obtained, the efficiency acid number decrease to 73,81% with the use of adsorbent 4:1 (g) (bentonite:activated carbon), the efficiency water content decrease to 94%, the fficiency peroxide decrease to 75% and the efficiency number of iodine decrease to 39,28% with the use of adsorbent 3:2 (g) (bentonite:activated carbon). The efficiency metal content decrease to 80,84% for Pb and 91,52% for Cu with the use of adsorbent 4,5:0,5 (g) (bentonite:activated carbon).
