Meningkatan Kemampuan Membaca Permulaan Melalui Media Kartu Kata Bergambar Pada Anak Usia 5-6 Tahun Di PAUD Seroja Kecamatan Kuala Cenaku Kabupaten Indragiri Hulu

This research to find out the cards of word and pictures media in
order to improve the beginning reading ability on children aged 5-6 years in
PAUD Seroja Kuala Cenaku District of Indragiri Hulu Regency. The subjects of
this research were children aged 5-6 years, amounting to 15 children, consisting
of 5 boys and 10 girls. Based on the observation that the beginning reading ability
of the child in the pre cycle is 40,67% with the criteria begin to develop. In the
first cycle the teacher gives the action through the cardsof word and pictures
media. The average increase in beginning reading ability is 48,33% with the
criteria begin to develop. In second cycle, the average beginning reading ability
of the child begins to increase significantly, with an average of 77,33% with the
criteria developing very well. The results of data analysis can be seen that the
increase that occurred from pre cycle to second cycle is 90,15%. Thus, it can be
concluded that through cardsof word and pictures media can improve the
beginning reading ability of children aged 5-6 years in PAUD Seroja Kuala
Cenaku District of Indragiri Hulu Regency.
