Kemampuan Tumbuhan Melati Air (Echinodorus Palaefolius) Dan Genjer (Limnocharis Flava) Dalam Menyerap Logam Berat (Zn Dan Cr) Yang Diaplikasikan Pada Sungai Sail Kota Pekanbaru
Echinodorus palaefolius and Limnocharis flava are able to absorb heavy metals in the water and it can be used for phytoremediation process. A research aims to understand the Zn and Cr content in the water and the ability of the plants to accumulate at those heavy metals was conducted in March - April 2018. Samplings were conducted 3 times, once/month. Heavy metals analyzed from the root, strem and leaf of the plant. Results shown that the average of Zn content in the water was 0,85 mg/L, Cr content was 0,63 mg/L. The highest accumulation of Zn dan Cr in E. palaefolius was found in the root (120.18 mg/kg and 29.94 mg/kg), the lowest was in the leaf (43.70 mg/kg and 13.94 mg/kg). While the highest accumulation of Zn dan Cr in L. flava was found in the root (82.40 mg/kg and 21.59 mg/kg), the lowest was in the leaf (34.46 mg/kg and 9.12 mg/kg). It can be concluded that the plants were able to accumulate Zn and Cr from the water. Keywords: Heavy metals, Phytoremediation, Accumulation, Root, Strem, Leaf
