Profil Pemeriksaan Mayat Kasus Korban Kematian Mendadak Di Provinsi Riau Periode 2015-2019
Sudden death according to WHO is defined as an unexpected death,
occurring less than 24 hours from the onset of symptoms, can occur in healthy
individual, outside the hospital, and unpredictable. The purpose of this study was
to determine the profile of post mortem examination of sudden death cases in Riau
Province period 2015-2019. The reseach method was retrospective descriptive
research using secondary data in the form of Visum et Repertum belonging to the
Riau Police Medical and Health Division. The results of the study found that the
number of sudden death cases was 48 of the 393 cases of post mortem
examinations. The criteria for victims of sudden death based on age are the
elderly (46-65 years) and the most gender are male. The most common causes of
death were cardiovascular system problems (55%). Most types of examination
were external examinations (70.8%). Anatomical pathology examination was only
performed in 4 cases (8.3%). Letter of request for Visum et Repertum were mostly
from Pekanbaru (64.6%).
