Uji Fitokimia Dan Aktivitas Antioksidan Berbagai Organ Tanaman Binahong (Anredera Cordifolia (Ten.) Steenis)
ABSTRACT
Binahong (Anredera cordifolia (Ten.) Steenis) is one of the medicinal plant. The parts that are often used in medicine are leaves, but other organs such as stems, apical shoots, and tubers also have the potential to be utilized. The aim of this study was to analyze differences in the content of secondary metabolites and antioxidant activity in leaves, stems, apical shoots, and tubers of binahong. This research was conducted by testing the phytochemical content of alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, steroids and phenol hydroquinone as well as antioxidant activity using the DPPH method (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrihydrazyl). Each binahong organ contains different amounts of alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, steroids and phenol hydroquinone seen from the change in the color of the solution. The antioxidant activity using the DPPH method (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrihydrazyl) was classified as very weak with the highest yield found in the stem with an IC50 value of 497.541 ug/mL followed by tuber 603.280 ug/mL, shoots 771.709 ug/mL, and leaves. 7312107.540 ug/mL with IC50 value >1000 ppm, which means that the antioxidant content was not detected. Therefore, in addition to the leaf organs, namely stem organs, apical shoots/shoots, and binahong tubers have the potential to be used as treatment.
