Perancangan Spreader Bar Dan Girder Span Kapasitas 40 Ton
ABSTRACT
This research aims to design and analyze the structure of a spreader bar and girder span capable of withstanding a load of 40 tons. The design is intended to support construction needs, particularly in the development of toll roads in the Riau region, which continues to grow. The methodology used includes manual calculations based on engineering mechanics theory and numerical analysis using Autodesk Inventor 2021 software with the finite element method. The main components analyzed include steel wire rope slings, a spreader bar made of Wide Flange (WF) 400×200 mm and the girder span structure that connects the columns and base. The calculation results show that the designed structure has adequate strength and meets safety requirements based on stress values and the obtained safety factor. Analysis was also conducted at various lifting angles (15°, 30°, 45°, 60°, and 75°) to test the strength under different load angles. With both theoretical and computer simulation approaches, this design is expected to be effectively and safely applied in heavy lifting projects.
