Analisis Hubungan Water Deficit Dengan Nutrisi Tanah Menggunakan Inverse Distance Weighted Dan Kriging
Soil is one of the factors that most influences oil palm productivity, with water also playing an important role in soil conditions. This study aims to measure the correlation between water deficit and soil nutrient content in oil palm plantations. This correlation is calculated geographically between soil sampling unit variables and water deficit at the same point or location. Due to differences in the sampling locations of soil sampling units and water deficit, spatial interpolation is required to obtain paired soil sampling units and water deficit at the same location. Interpolation of soil sampling unit data was performed to the weather station points where water deficit data was collected. Interpolation was performed using the Inverse Distance Weighted (IDW) and Kriging methods. The evaluation results of the interpolation model showed fairly good results. The RMSE values of the interpolation results are 0.59 for the Organic Carbon variable using the Kriging method, 1.33 for Available Phosphorus using the Kriging method, 3.68 for Potassium Reserve using the IDW method, 9.67 for Base Saturation using the Kriging method, and 21.48 for CEC using the Kriging method. Geographical correlation calculations were performed between water deficit and the interpolated soil sampling unit results at the weather station points. The correlation between water deficit and Organic Carbon is 0.35, the correlation with Available Phosphorus is -0.18, the correlation with Potassium Reserve is 0.21, the correlation with Base Saturation is -0.21, and the correlation with CEC is 0.22. Overall, the results show that all soil sampling unit variables have a low correlation with water deficit. This indicates that water deficit does not need to be significantly considered in soil management in oil palm plantations.
