ABSTRACT Domestic violence (KDRT) is a serious social and legal problem, which can impact victims physically, psychologically and economically. This research aims to analyze law enforcement against domestic violence crimes by the Pelalawan Resort Police, identify inhibiting factors in the legal process, and explore efforts that can be made to overcome these obstacles. The research method used is an empirical juridical method with a sociological approach, which involves legal studies and data collection through interviews and observations at the Pelalawan Police Station. Meanwhile, the population and sample are all parties related to the problem under study, the population and sample in this study are Head of the Women and Child Protection Unit (PPA) of the Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) of the Pelalawan Resort Police and the Head of the Women's Protection Division of the Women's Empowerment and Child Protection, Population Control and Family Planning Service of Pelalawan Regency. The research results show that even though there are clear regulations regarding handling domestic violence, their implementation still faces various obstacles. Some of the main inhibiting factors include limited police resources, lack of legal awareness in the community, social and cultural pressures that cause victims to be reluctant to report, and the lack of coordination between law enforcement officials and related institutions.
