ABSTRACT
Shallots (Allium ascalonicum L.) is one of the important vegetable commodities
in Indonesia and is widely used as a spice and herbal medicine. The many
benefits of shallots are the main factors so that plant growth and yield can be
increased with the right fertilization strategy. This research was conducted
experimentally using a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD)
consisting of two treatment factors with three replications. the first factor is
cassava fertilizer consisting of 3 levels, namely 5 t.ha-1, 10 t.ha-1, and 15 t.ha-
1. The second factor is KCl fertilizer consisting of 3 levels, namely 150 kg.ha-1,
200 kg.ha-1 and 250 kg.ha-1 KCl fertilizer. From both factors, 9 treatment
combinations were obtained and each treatment was repeated three times so that
there were 27 experimental units. Each experimental unit consisted of 25 plants
and 4 were sampled, so the total number of plants in the study was 675 plants.
The observed parameters were leaf number, plant height, bulb number, bulb
diameter, fresh bulb weight. The data showed that the combination of 15 t.ha-1
cassava fertilizer with 250 kg.ha-1 KCl effectively increased the number of
leaves, number of tubers, tuber diameter, tuber fresh weight, and tuber dry
weight.
