Pemberian Pupuk Petroganik Terhadap Pertumbuhan Dan Hasil Kacang Hijau (Vigna Radiata L.)
ABSTRACT
Green beans are one of the legume commodities that are widely consumed by the
Indonesian people. This plant contains nutrients, including: starch, protein, iron,
sulfur, calcium, fatty oil, manganese, magnesium, niacin, vitamins (B1, A, and E).
The productivity of green bean plants in Riau Province is still relatively low, only
reaching 0.65 tons.ha-1, this is caused by several factors, namely the lack of fertile
land, inefficient cultivation techniques and low soil fertility. Efforts to increase
green bean productivity in Riau can be done by applying organic fertilization.
Increasing soil fertility can be done by using petroganic fertilizer. This study aims
to determine the effect of giving several doses of petroganic fertilizer and to
obtain the best dose of petroganic fertilizer on the growth and yield of green bean
plants (Vigna radiata L.). This research was conducted at the Technical
Implementation Unit (UPT) of the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of
Agriculture, University of Riau from March to June 2023. This research was
conducted experimentally using a completely randomized design (CRD)
consisting of 3 levels of petroganic fertilizer doses (0.5, 1.0, 1.5 t.ha-1). The
parameters observed were plant height, stem diameter, number of productive
branches, flowering age, harvest age, number of pods, dry weight of seeds per
plant, and dry weight of 100 seeds. The data obtained were analyzed statistically
by analysis of variance using SAS and continued with Duncan's multiple range
test at the 5% level. The results of the study showed that the effect of petroganic
fertilizer administration can increase the parameters of plant height, stem
diameter, number of pods, and dry weight of seeds per plant. Petroganic fertilizer
dose of 1.5 t.ha-1 is the best treatment dose that can increase plant height.
Keywords : number of pods, dry weight of seeds, treatment dose fertilizer
