Kandungan Mikroplastik Pada Air Sungai Mandau Kecamatan Sungai Mandau Kabupaten Siak Provinsi Riau
Microplastics are small plastic measuring in size (< 5mm) that generally originate from the degradation of larger plastics. This research aims to identify the types and abundance of microplastics in the water of the Mandau River, Sungai Mandau District. The research was conducted from December 2024 to January 2025. Sampling was carried out once every 2 weeks as many of 3 repetitions. Researchstations there are 3 the upstream station located in Muara Bungkal Village, the midstream station in Selodang Village, and the downstream station in Muara Kelantan Village. Sample analysis and microplastic identification were conducted at the Waste Processing Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences. The results of the sudy show type and abudance of microlplastics found of fibers, films, fragments, foam and granule but with different abundances. The average abundance of mikroplastics at stasion I ranged from 566,66 – 833,33 particles/m³, Station II ranged from 16,66-750 particles/m³ , and Station III ranged from 33,33-983,33 particles/m³.
