ABSTRACK
Heavy equipment is a tool used to assist and relieve humans in carrying out
development work on a project. One of these development projects is the
construction of the Pekanbaru- Padang Trans Sumatera Toll Road Section VI
Pekanbaru-Bangkinang. In the construction of toll roads, which dominates the use
of heavy equipment, namely earthworks in the form of excavation and
embankment work. The volume of earthwork for earthworks on the Pekanbaru-
Padang section of the Trans Sumatera toll road section VI Pekanbaru-Bangkinang
is 6,304,504.1 m3. The use of heavy equipment that is not in accordance with field
conditions and situations can result in losses including low production, not
achieving the predetermined schedule or target, or repairing losses that should not
be carried out. This study aims to calculate the productivity of heavy equipment
used in earthworks on the Trans Sumatra toll road section Pekanbaru Padang
section VI Pekanbaru-Bangkinang for STA 24+000 to STA 25+000 and calculate
the cost of renting heavy equipment for earthworks on the toll road. Trans
Sumatera Pekanbaru-Padang section VI Pekanbaru-Bangkinang for STA 24+000
to STA 25+000. Tool productivity is very necessary as a guide in determining the
duration of work and heavy equipment needed in the work so that there are no
losses in its implementation later. The results of the productivity of heavy
equipment and the cost of using heavy equipment on earthworks STA 24+000 to
STA 25+000 as in the conclusion.
